Description

There are three different motor systems for electric bicycles: front hub motor, rear hub motor, or bottom bracket motor. The front hub motor is relatively inexpensive and is compatible with all pedal brakes and shifting systems. Since the weight is distributed towards the front of the bike, you get less grip than normal. It is also necessary to remove the cables to remove the front wheel. Best electric bike conversion kit is available here. The rear hub motor is also relatively cheap and easy to assemble. It puts more weight on the rear wheel, which results in a better grip. However, it is a system that cannot be combined with foot brakes and as the front hub motor. It is necessary to remove a variety of cables to remove the rear wheel. The bottom bracket motor offers the best grip since the weight is distributed in the bike's central part. It is not necessary to remove any cables to remove the wheels. Because the motor is mounted in the cranks and pedals, a special frame is necessary, and the system generally does not work with foot brakes.
