Abacus is limited. Vedic maths is infinite. Abacus is more about addition subtraction. Whereas Vedic maths trains you in everything such as addition subtraction, multiplication division, squares, square root, cube root..so on. Vedic math can be educated to the child as little as 8 yrs old.
Both are significant. Abacus is calculating devices that enhance our memory, concentration, listening ability, photographic memory, and Vedic math relies on maths tricks. Age for studying Abacus is between 5 to 14 years and the best era for studying Vedic maths is minimum age 10 years.
How It Works
The abacus is believed to have been created from the ancient Near East from the third century BCE. An abacus is made up of series of thin parallel bars set into a rectangular frame, typically made from wood. Each bar contains a number of beads that slide along its span.
Vedic Mathematics is a collection of Techniques/Sutras to address mathematical arithmetics in a simple and quick manner.
