John Wilson, the owner and founder of Lighting by Sparky was first inspired to hang Christmas lights professionally during the holiday season of 1999. While visiting his mother-in-law who was undergoing treatment for cancer, John had the idea to brighten her spirits by installing several strands of bright, holiday bulbs around her home. He was amazed by the cheerful effect of the Christmas decorations and soon realized that his labor could bring joy and cheer to a much larger audience.
