Gross Heating was founded by William Gross as a coal and oil business in 1925. After William died in the 1940s, his brother took over, but soon realized it was not for him and began looking for another “family” member to buy the business. That family member was employee, Mike Ruesch. The legacy was passed to Alan Ruesch, Mike’s son and also a Gross team member, in 1996 and the company continued to flourish under his leadership for almost 25 years. In early 2019, Alan retired and sold the business to Jerry Nee and Joe Mechenich.
