In the NHP disease model, several types of imaging modalities such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, ultrasound and immunohistochemical analysis are used. Several concepts such as biological mechanisms, molecular mimicry and cell biology were introduced to describe how cells affect NHP. The NHP disease model furthermore postulates that the immune and inflammatory response in patients with cancer is characterized by exaggerated biological and behavioral responses that are commonly observed in non-Cancerous patients. Thus, it postulates that the diagnostic tests for NHP include blood imaging and blood chemistry analysis in addition to NHP pathology to detect the cancerous cells.
